I shall put these paintings randomly, as to be honest I am confused as to where I am in my time line! ๐Ÿ˜‚
By the looks of things I spend most of my time either doing cards or playing!
๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Here we go.

2026

I am trying to find a substitute for charcoals as it isn't waterproof. I am using a stick with a pot containing muslin squares and ink to dip my stick into and I LOVE the rough effect it has, so most of my work below is this technique with loose watercolours .

For the Sir Harold Hilliers exhibition

A memory:
My lovely cuz and husband in Spain.
I love those boys.

I like this but others do not.
It is the simplicity of marks that shows a story for me.
In bed reading.

This is great and I forgot that I had it.
I'm looking for this idea in the back, back of my head but stuck there - need to practice more!
Not like ti above though!

Lovely Karen Welsh's classes.

I try to go once a month to use my acrylics and try being 'free'๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

A painting commission
for triathlon fiends

To Hilliers to meet my lovely Wellow art group
- a once a month occasion.

A rose by another name!

Catching butterflies

My beautiful boy out running.

Not sure on this one. Too many colours.
dark! not fresh...

We hold hands - my boy and I.

As it says in 'Sleepless in Seattle'
'it's like coming home, only to no home I'd ever known..!'
He says he was simply taking her hand to help her out of a car when he instantly knew it was magic.

A trial of a rose.

A sad card!

A watercolour sketch
I quite like the movement.
Bit 'brown' though.

The New Forest - or part of...

Christmas card - bit rubbish.

Cornwall view sitting by the sea,

This is my favourite view from the cabin on our summer holidays.
I do love this painting; done in acrylics on board from the window.
We watch the walkers and ravens along the coastal path.

About Me

My photo
Art has always been an integral part of my life. At the age of 50 I was able to complete a long awaited foundation course and HNC/HND. From this experience I have developed my love of pastel and watercolour. Rubens has always inspired me with his fluidity of movement; Degas and Lautrec I admire with their rough marks and blends of colour, their freshness of approach. I feel I have been given a talent for a reason and gradually the purpose shall unfold... sarah.orchard54@hotmail.co.uk Note: Images are Copyright Sarah Orchard © 2009
